On behalf of the AMAPA Promoters, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our competitors and
their family member for participating in and supporting AMAPA. We sincerely hope that you enjoyed the 2007
tournament season. We would also like to thank the volunteers and judges for their unselfish leadership and
commitment to providing the competitors with organized and professional events.
2007 was an awesome year for AMAPA. AMAPA happens to be the oldest, most respected tournament circuit in
the West Coast. We take pride in promoting a positive environment- great for the family. As martial artist
practitioners, it is our obligation to enforce the standards and traditions of the martial arts: Respect: Honor, Humility.
Our FMA (Filipino Martial Arts) divisions have grown this year. We also now offer stick fighting seminars and workshops.
If you are interested in scheduling a stick fighting seminar for your school, feel free to contact us for availability.
In 2008, our goal is to provide exciting and entertaining martial art events. We expect excellent competition and have
worked hard to create organization. New AMAPA series tournaments will now host fabulous Half-Time ALLSTAR shows with the
2008 AMAPA Demo Team, as well as recognition ceremonies for those special individuals who have contributed so much to AMAPA over the years!
As we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of AMAPA, we would like to spotlight and recognize the founding members of AMAPA, past champions, new
AMAPA Allstars and up and coming champions.
The AMAPA tournament series would like to welcome James Solis, the newest promoter to be added to our roster. James is young and creative,
perfect for our growing and inspirational team. James will be spearheading the new divisions, Demo Team and Team Pairs. Jordan Pallen will continue
to promote the FMA stickfighting divisions in the sport karate world. Tim Calvin and Jason Cortez will be overseeing our Grappling divisions.
